Peter Romer and Bruce Egan were title searchers in Union and Somerset counties in the early 1970’s when their customers asked them to start preparing title commitments. Suburban Title Examiners, Inc. was formed in 1978 to meet those needs as a full service title insurance agent. Suburban Title can attribute it’s success over the years to its experienced and loyal staff, Cheryl Feeley and Donna Saulnier have been with the Company over 30 years and Shelley Pezzia has been with Suburban over 15 years.
The company grew in a positive direction over the years when Todd Moore joined as a senior title officer in 2008 bringing in many years of underwriting experience.
In 2010 Pete Romer retired and left Bruce Egan as President of Suburban Title.
In 2011 Suburban realized that the industry was changing and began offering settlement services to our valued clients. Presently we have 3 full time settlement officers, Helaine Wolberg, Kathleen Esteves and Denise Daly who offer our clients years of paralegal and real estate closing expertise. Our settlement officers are licensed title producers and notaries.
In 2017 Suburban Title expanded by merging with Bob Nieltopp’s “Title Agency Inc. “ from Middlesex County, Joe Litwienski and Peggy Dombrowski joined the staff. As of December 31, 2020 Peggy retired from Suburban Title and is enjoying her time at home with her husband Marty.
After 40 years of guiding Suburban Title Examiners, Inc., Bruce Egan retired in 2018 as President, he still remains a part of our staff and is always on call.
